Happy Monday👋
Hope you had a FANTASTIC Weekend!
.
This week I wanted to bring back up a topic that still always seems to comeback up and something people regularly struggle with. To me, not embracing this will make your journey so much harder and a lot more unpleasant.
.
So, what a lot of people don’t realize is to experience success, you MUST have failure. Read that again! There is no way you can ultimately hit your goal with out having failure along the way.
.
Why? Because failure is feedback! It allows us to course correct and make adjustments. Every failure we go through we get better and better each time going through it.
.
For some reason though most people still choose to ignore this and think that they should have a straight path to success, and for not having that there is something wrong with them. They look at failure as them being broken, and will never hit their goal because they couldn’t do it on the first attempt.
.
Yes, we do want to avoid as many MASSIVE failures as we can. But, let me make this clear that the road to success is FILLED with micro failures all along the way. This allows us to learn what we need to learn to grow to the next level on our journey. Without this learning experience you will never equip yourself with the knowledge or skills to grow.
.
Stop playing the “Oh poor me” card when something goes wrong. Like you are damaged goods that is destined to be the only person that can’t achieve their goals. First, go back to my last email about taking ownership, and second start analyzing WHY it went wrong so you can learn what worked and what didn’t to move forward stronger then you started.
.
Failure also means you are getting outside of your comfort zone, and pushing your limits. Failure doesn’t exist in our safe place. We have already mastered that, which is why it is now comfortable to us. So, if you are not failing enough that is also a sign you are not pushing yourself, and therefore another reason why you are not experiencing growth.
.
Challenge Yourself! What are you going to fail at today so you can grow tomorrow?
